I enjoyed doing this page since the people pictured here are those most special to me: my wife and three children. Cheri and I met when I moved to the Toledo area after finishing college and seminary. We married in 1982, and a few years after pastoring two small churches, I returned to school to receive a teaching certificate in English. The fall of 1988, after I finished at the University of Toledo, I was hired at Toledo Christian, where I have been teaching ever since.
Our oldest child is Rachel, who graduated from TCS in 2006. She attended the University of Toledo and received a degree in Human Resources. She is currently working in Columbus in HR at a company named Alliance Data. (She is still a loyal Michigan fan, however!)
Timothy graduated from the University of Michigan just over four years ago and is presently working up in the Detroit area at an insurance company. He is a musician and writer, and hopefully he will someday soon be able to use the gifts God has given him in a vocation.
Our youngest child is Stephen, who just turned 22. He has been a tremendous joy to us, teaching us each day about God's great love and grace. He has been home-schooled all his life, and quite likely will always be with us. We are hoping that perhaps one day he will develop the skills to work in my wife's cleaning business. He can read a bit and do some basic addition and subtraction; most of all, though, he just enjoys the simple things in life!
